Pupils of Cedar Grove Private School, Palmiste, San Fernando, shined on stage during “A ‘kind’ of Christmas”, their annual Christmas concert, at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts in San Fernando, on Tuesday.

The stage was set when the cute little Pre-Kindergarden 1 pupils, dressed in red, performed “Happy birthday Jesus,” while Pre-Kindergarden 2 pupils sang from their hearts as they performed “The Gift of Christmas.” Upper Kindergarten pupils, adorably dressed as little elves, entertained with a traditional song “O Come All Ye Faithful. “

The magical night continued with the Grade 1 pupils’ rendition of “Make a friend for Christmas,” while Grade 2 pupils enacted the Christmas story and the birth of Jesus. The entire theatre was captivated by the Grade 3 pupils who were dressed in Spanish wear, singing and dancing to the parang song “Cantando Gloria.”

Grade 4 pupils performed a skit entitled, “What is a ‘kind’ of Christmas”, depicting the role of Guardian Media Limited reporter Vinode Mamchan and a cameraman as they interviewed people on their preparations for Christmas. Grade 5 pupils performed “What Christmas is all about.” The night of entertaining performances ended with teachers and administrative staff singing a medley of Christmas songs.
